The 2008 Concert Charities
Each year separate local charities are chosen to be beneficiaries of the funds raised from the event.  Following articles in
The Networker for Voluntary Organisations in Sutton and The Sutton Guardian, a good number of applications were received.  
These were reduced to a shortlist, and three senior members of the Rotary Club received the presentations by those selected.

The task of excluding any charities was extremely difficult because they were all very worthy but after much deliberation this year’s beneficiaries are:

Open Door, Youth Counselling
Alzheimer's Society, Sutton
Wallington Girls Guides
A charity supporting young people who need support
or someone to talk with.
The local support group for sufferers of Alzheimer’s
disease and their families .
This is to help provide disabled access into the Guides’
Hall toilets.
